July 22, 2015 – The Transfer Pricing seminar organized by Eurofast and supported by the Revenue Services of Georgia, held at the Georgian – American University in Tbilisi, Georgia was hailed a great success. Our seminar aimed at increasing the local business’ awareness and compliance with the concept and application of Transfer Pricing and providing an overview on the international or local trends in this sphere. The Seminar was attended mainly by CEOs, Chief Financial Managers, Chief Accountants and Legal Counsels of the largest multinational companies present in Georgia, as well as representatives of the Revenue Services of Georgia and the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues.
In the opening session of the Seminar, Eurofast’s Country Director, Ms Anna Pushkaryova and Mr. Dachi Kinkladze, Deputy Head of the Department for International Relations (Tax and Customs Administration) gave a warm welcome to the participants. Afterwards, Mrs Anastasia Sagianni, Eurofast’s Head of Transfer Pricing Division, shared best practices and told about Eurofast`s international experience in this field, provided the concept and application of Transfer Pricing, global trends and managing risks, as well as issues that affect the business. Mr Avtandil Svanadze and Mr Giorgi Macharashvili, auditors and members of Transfer Pricing Group of the Georgia Revenue Service, presented recent developments and Georgian legislative framework in the sphere of Transfer Pricing and shared facts and statistics for Georgia.
The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for exchange of information and ideas on Transfer Pricing policies in Georgia and the region. Following questions and answers session, speakers of the conference concluded together with the participants on the importance of the Tranfer Pricing legislation for companies and its implementation in Georgia.
