During the last few years, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has been quite active when it comes to bilateral relations, especially regarding the signing of new double tax treaty agreements.
In 2013, BiH negotiated new double tax treaties with;
– Switzerland, which the Swiss Federal authorities announced in February that the negotiations are underway.
– Poland, which was announced in March.
– Russia, which both countries expressed their intention to start negotiations during 2013.
The Council of Ministers of BiH authorised the signing of the tax treaties with;
– Malta on July 24 2013.
– Poland on June 26 2013.
Also, Saudi Arabian Cabinet authorised the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia to sign the income tax treaty with BiH on June 17 2013, which was initialed back in 2011.
Finally, on June 17 2013, BiH ratified the treaty with Azerbaijan, which expected to be applicable from January 1 2014.
