Athens - Payroll Specialist

Position: Payroll Specialist

Location: Athens, Greece

Eurofast is looking to recruit a dedicated and hard-working individual, following the trends and developments in the field, and able to work under pressure.


The successful candidate must be in position to:

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Application of proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
  • General ledger customization based on the client’s need and additional GL files adjustments.
  • Load import files received from HR
  • Entry of employees’ data (new hires, changes, additional earnings) from the HR system of record to the payroll system.
  • Provide payroll forms and information updated.
  • Consultancy of payroll related issues.
  • Determines value of depreciable assets by running depreciation software program.
  • Protecting organization’s value by keeping information confidential.



  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Accounting qualification, Bachelor degree
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Payroll software (Data Communication/EpsilonNet) will be considered an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
  • Accurate payroll calculation for our clients in the provided payroll system/program
  • Strict adherence to prescribed deadlines
  • Reporting to the Tax office and other state institutions, on monthly and annual level
  • Preparing reports on the payroll calculation
  • Written communication with clients, state authorities or other third parties
  • Issuing documents and responding to inquiries related to salary, benefits and other income
  • Calculations and payments coming from internal and external contact
  • Keeping up-to-date with the payroll related legislation of Serbia, organizing the implementation of the respective changes and handling all possible legislation related issues
