Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Athens, Greece

Job description:

  • Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring accounting and tax compliance
  • Participate in the preparation of annual statutory reporting
  • Consolidate and analyze financial and non-financial data.
  • Participate in the preparation of business plans
  • Maintain highest standards of business ethics
  • Responsible for the timely submission of tax statements and tax compliance of the company
  • Cooperates with other members of the management team on matters related to company operations, client support, service providers, personnel issues and any other issues that requires cross functional cooperation

 

Requirements – What we are looking for:

  • 8-12 years’ experience
  • Excellent academic background, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration and/or a Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Previous experience in a relevant or audit role at a consulting firm will be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a leading team
  • Knowledge of Accounting in all industries
  • Experience in working on multiple accounts will be highly regarded
  • Proven working experience on IFRS and Consolidation of Financial and non-financial data
  • Strong accounting skills and technical knowledge on financial reporting
  • Strong background in financial management and managerial reporting requirements
  • Very good knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties) and Greek accounting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Greek and English
  • Experience and knowledge of MS office.
  • Professional certifications (i.e.ACCA) or member of Professional Bodies will ne considered an advantage

Job description:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel and departments.
  • Greet visitors/guests/members professionally and determine their nature and purpose of visit.
  • Direct and accompany visitors/guests/members to appropriate destinations or waiting rooms.
  • Updates any client information / updates company’s database.
  • Performs internet search and create reports on findings.
  • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence, mail, messages, and courier deliveries.

Position: Tax Mobility Expert

Mobility is a component of international taxation. Due to business globalization and worker mobility Eurofast can assist companies in their foreign assignment process to deal with tax compliance, financial statements, and tax planning.

Job description:

  • Engage in simple and complex tax matters. Provide tax consultancy, draft tax memos, tax assessments, reviews and tax audits.
  • Process monthly tax return forms and ensure tax compliance. Preparation of the taxpayer’s annual statement of income.
  • Assistance in bookkeeping, prepare reports for the clients, preparation of compulsory reports for authorities
  • Become the primary point of contact for one or more service lines (as directed by your manager). Apply an understanding of business needs to identify critical outcomes, barriers to success, and changes in expectations or scope.
  • Representing the company and clients before relevant institutions such as Tax office, Labor Office, National Center of Registration
  • Prepare and submit any reports as required by company’s management
  • Stay updated on the latest tax regulations, policies, and developments
  • Assist clients with tax planning and compliance for cross-border assignments, including expatriate tax, social security, and mobility issues
  • Collaborate with the Eurofast team and other departments to deliver integrated tax services to clients.

 

Requirements – What we are looking for:

  • University Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Work background at least 2 years of experience in tax mobility services. Multinational consulting experience will be considered as a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of tax laws for Individuals. Experience with preparation of personal income returns for domestic and mobile employees.
  • Very good knowledge of labor legislation, social & health insurance laws.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Team player.
  • Excellent computer and internet skills, very good knowledge of MS package (excel, word, ppt).

Job Description: 

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Application of proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Run Shadow payrolls
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
  • Entry of employees’ data (new hires, changes, additional earnings) from the HR system of record to the payroll system.
  • Provide payroll forms and information updated.
  • Consultancy of payroll related issues e.g. A1 Certificate requirements
