Eurofast participated at the IBSA Annual conference which was held on November 16th, at the Landmark Hotel in London. The conference concentrated on Practical Issues for Entrepreneurial Family Owned Companies and particularly analyzed the following topics: protecting the company from competition, developing international holding and intellectual property companies, corporate finance and relevant international tax issues, and how the family can inherit the company in the most tax efficient manner. The speakers of the conference came from family and employment law, intellectual property and international tax law.
Among the speakers was also our Executive Director Christodoulos Damianou, who participated in a panel discussing “Where should I be resident if I want to sell up?”, where he presented residency programs for individuals in Cyprus and Montenegro.
Eurofast also was present in Russia! We sponsored the 10th annual conference “International tax planning: game over” organized by InforMedia Russia, which took place between 16 and 17 of November in Lotte Hotel, Moscow. Over 100 participants attended the event from 14 different industries from Russia, CIS and EU countries, including top-level speakers from the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
The conference covered many topics amongst which were Tax Control & Tax Audits, New initiatives of BEPS and automatic exchange of financial information, Currency Regulation and Exchange Control, Legislation in the field of controlled foreign companies and application practices and Transfer Pricing.
Eurofast presentation was focused on the journey of Cyprus, Montenegro and Greece through BEPS, MLI and CRS, presented by Nadiya Omelchuk, Country Executive and Alena Malaya Tax & Legal Advisor in Kiev. Our advisors provided practical recommendations for doing business in the BEPS era as well as an analysis about jurisdictions granted by MLI.
